In the past, I don't know, month, I've had friends who have friends who has really random and terrible things happen. A good friend's good friend was sitting in his hotel room, minding his own business, when a car drove through the wall and crushed him. He's healing slowly, but what the fuck? Some other people I know have a friend who was walking home from a New Year's party when some guy, who apparently attacked two other people that night, attacked and killed her. In her apartment. Really? From everything I've read about her she was absolutely amazing and lovable and some crazy person just stole her life for no apparent reason. What is that shit?
I mean, my losses, while devastating, seemed inevitable in one way or another because of the stupid life choices of the people I lost, but those...(one is not a loss, perse, but it's pretty devastating none-the-less)..
